Honda Cars India has launched the new BS6 Jazz for the 2020 model year, with prices starting at Rs 7.49 lakh for the base variant. It also now has a new top-of-the-line ZX trim, available with the CVT and manual variants, which will feature a one-touch sunroof, a first in its segment. The facelifted Jazz will also gets refreshed styling and a few more creature comforts on the inside.
On the outside the, Jazz hasn’t been radically altered. It gets LED DRLs, a redesigned front and rear bumper to look fresh. The wheels are new too! On the inside, the Jazz gets new fabric upholstery and some new soft touch material on the dash on higher variants. The dash now has a refreshed 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other interior features include cruise control, an economy ambient ring in the speedometer, voice control, automatic climate control and an engine start/stop button.
The Jazz will be powered by a 1.2-litre BS6 compliant petrol engine which produces 89bhp at 6000rpm and 110Nm at 4800rpm, mated to either a five-speed manual or seven-speed CVT. There is no diesel on offer like there is on the WR-V.
The Jazz also comes with safety features such as front airbags, ABS with EBD, multi-view rear camera and an anti-theft immobilizer. Honda claims an ARAI fuel economy of 16.7kmpl from the manual and 17.7kmpl from the CVT variant.
The new Jazz comes with a three-year unlimited kilometres warranty, along with an option to extend it by two years. The base CVT trim will start from Rs 8.49 lakh, and go all the way up to Rs 9.73 lakh for the top-end ZX model.
The Jazz will rival cars like the Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Hyundai Elite i20 which is due for a refresh soon.
