CEAT launches SportDrive range of tyres with new innovations in India

CEAT has launched three new advanced technologies for its SportDrive range in India and these include an ultra-high performance tyre and a run-flat tyre. CEAT claims that these tyres have been rigorously tested at state-of-the-art facilities in Germany.

The CEAT run-flat tyres allow a vehicle to keep on driving even after a tyre has suffered a puncture. This allows the driver to postpone the process of repairing the puncture briefly, adding a sense of security and reliability, and enables them to get to their destination. CEAT’s run-flat tyres are available for high-end sedans and SUVs. Prices for these tyres range from ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 (per tyre).

On the other hand, the CEAT ZR-rated 21-inch tyres are placed in the ultra-high performance category and are capable of withstanding speeds over 300kmph. These tyres also come equipped with CEAT’s ‘CALM’ technology that is claimed to significantly reduce the in-cabin tyre noise, making it a good choice for luxury vehicles. The ZR-Rated 21-inch ultra-high performance tyres with CALM technology are priced between ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 (per tyre). CEAT is also the first Indian tyre manufacturer to produce the run-flat and ZR-rated tyres.

Starting from April, these CEAT tyres will be available across key markets in India such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bengaluru, Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore, Madurai, Kerala, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Ahmedabad.
