The Audi e-tron has witnessed a lot of hype in the last few weeks, and while the pricing is still unknown, Audi has now also confirmed the e-tron Sportback for India, which will be sold alongside the standard e-tron. Our first drive impressions of the Audi e-tron are available right here, and you can also check out the video on our YouTube channel.
Audi will offer e-tron customers a choice of two body styles — a standard, which looks more like a conventional SUV and the Sportback which has a coupe-like roofline. Let’s first talk about the former. The standard e-tron will be available in two variants — 50 and 55. On the other hand, the e-tron Sportback will get just the 55 variant. The e-tron 50 will get an output of 308bhp and 540Nm and will be backed up by an 71.2kWh battery which enables a combined range of 264-379 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. The 55 models get an output of 355bhp and 561Nm and a 95kWh battery with a combined range of 359 to 484 kilometres on the WLTP cycle
Audi will provide customers with an 11kW AC home charger for the e-tron as standard which will take 8.5 hours for a full charge, while a 150kW DC fast charger will take just 30 minutes to do the same. Some of the standard equipment on the e-tron includes the Quattro all-wheel drive system, adaptive air suspension, four-zone climate control, progressive steering, Matrix LED headlamps, ventilated front seats, and among others.
The price of the Audi e-tron range will finally be announced on July 22. The e-tron will go up against other luxury EVs like the Mercedes-Benz EQC which is priced at Rs 1.04 crore and the Jaguar I-Pace which is priced at Rs 1.06 crore, and we expect the e-tron to be priced around the Rs 1.3 crore mark, as it offers a significantly more luxurious experience.
