2025 Toyota Camry launched in India; prices start from ₹48 lakh
The Toyota Camry gets all-new styling and a new engine for the hybrid powertrain

Toyota has launched the 2025 Toyota Camry in India, and prices for the sedan start from ₹48 lakh. This new-generation Camry was already introduced in global markets earlier and it has now made its debut in India with all-new styling and a four-cylinder engine for the hybrid powertrain.

The Camry now gets a design that is in line with the new Toyota Prius which is on sale globally. The front grille is now larger and lower, and the headlights with DRLs as well as the tail lights have been redesigned. The overall design of the Camry, especially the silhouette, is very sleek. The sedan also gets 18-inch alloy wheels and can be had in a choice of six colours.

The interiors of the Camry have also been revised. The dashboard has been fully redesigned and it incorporates a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 9-speaker JBL audio system. The driver gets a 12.3-inch multifunction display, 10-way power adjust for the driver’s seat and a HUD. You also get a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera and 3-zone automatic climate control amongst other features. The Camry also gets ADAS by way of the Toyota Sense safety suite of features such as lane trace assist, lane departure alert, pre-collision alert and dynamic radar cruise control.

The new Camry is still a hybrid, using a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine mated to an e-CVT working in tandem with an electric motor. Globally, this powertrain can be had in both FWD and AWD guises, but India will only be getting the FWD version. The petrol engine produces 184bhp of power and 221Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 134bhp of power and 208Nm of torque. The combined power output of the hybrid powertrain is 227bhp. The Camry gets three drive modes – sport, eco, and normal. In Eco mode, the Camry can also be driven purely on electric power, depending on whether the Li-ion battery has enough charge.

Prices for the Toyota Camry start from ₹48 lakh (ex-showroom) and bookings for the hybrid sedan have commenced from today. There’s no direct rival to the Toyota Camry yet, but the sedan sits in the price range of the Audi A4 and EVs like the BYD Seal and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
