The updated Jeep Meridian has been launched in India and prices for the SUV start from ₹24.99 lakh for the base Longitude variant. In terms of updates, the Jeep Meridian now gets a radar and camera-based ADAS system and a new 5-seater variant, in addition to the existing 7-seater variant of the SUV. Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged and is powered by the same 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine as before, producing 168bhp of power.
2024 Jeep Meridian design
In terms of design, the refreshed Jeep Meridian does not look too different from the model it replaces. The bumpers have been slightly reprofiled and the Meridian continues to get a seven-slot Jeep grille with full LED headlamps. There are no changes when it comes to the side profile of the vehicle, and the LED tail lamps feature satin chrome accents. Just like before, the Meridian continues to offer impressive road presence.
Inside the Meridian, the cabin gets vegan leather and suede / vegan leather accents for the upholstery with copper stitching, while the Longitude variant gets vinyl fabric. All variants get soft touch materials on the seats, dashboard and armrests, and the Meridian also gets a 5-seater variant for the first time, in addition to the existing 7-seater variants. You get a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with wireless charging for your smartphone. The infotainment also supports OTA firmware updates now. You continue to get dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
The Jeep Meridian offers ADAS on the top-spec Overland variant and this is a front radar and camera based system. It includes a whole suite of ADAS safety features including adaptive cruise control with stop and go, intelligent speed assist, lane departure warning and lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, smart beam assist and more.
The Meridian continues to be powered by a 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine as before, producing 168bhp, and this engine can be mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-speed automatic.
Inaugural prices for the refreshed Jeep Meridian start from ₹24.99 lakh for the base spec Longitude, and go up to ₹27.5 lakh for the Longitude Plus. The Limited (O) trim is priced at ₹30.49 lakh while the top-spec Overland with ADAS is priced at ₹36.49 lakh.
