Vietnamese electric car maker VinFast has confirmed its entry into the Indian market in 2025 with the VF 7 electric SUV which will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The brand plans on providing smart electric mobility solutions with its operations in India.
What to expect from VF 7 SUV?
The electric SUV is set to launch in India soon after the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, VF 7 SUV is expected to be available with two variants—Eco and Plus. The Eco variant will focus mostly on offering more efficiency while the plus variant will have more power output. The SUV will offer a battery capacity of 75.3kWh. The Eco variant will house a single electric motor with 201bhp and 310Nm providing a driving range of 450km. It will be available only in a FWD configuration with 19-inch wheels. The Plus variant on the other side will come equipped with a dual electric motor setup with 348bhp and 500Nm of torque providing a driving range of 431km. It will offer the option of all-wheel-drive and ride on 20-inch wheels (21-inch optional).

On the inside, the VF 7 will have a 5 seat layout and the dashboard will house a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen for the Eco variant and a larger 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the Plus variant. Other key features on offer will be Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which will offer highway assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control and emergency lane keep assist. VinFast is expected to price the VF 7 electric SUV between ₹60-65 lakh (ex-showroom) which puts it against cars like Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo C40 Recharge, Mercedes-Benz EQA, BMW iX1 and the upcoming BYD Sealion 7. While VinFast has a long journey in establishing itself in the country, new innovative features, powerful drivetrains and a competitive driving range can surely help the company get the kick start they desire.
