Tesla has just unveiled its much awaited “Cybertruck” at a launch event in Los Angeles, CEO Elon Musk said the Cybertruck will have a starting price of $39,000 (INR30lacs) and production is expected to begin in late 2021. The main talking point at the event was the design of the truck keeping a very minimalistic and industrial look that looks to have come right out of a Sci Fi movie.

In typical Tesla fashion everything did not go as planned at the launch event when chief designer took a swing with a sledge hammer at the body of the Cybertruck everything was fine, but things went south when they tried throwing a steel ball at the window of the truck and it shattered with Elon exclaimed they would fix it later in post.

The base comes with a range of 250 miles (402km), while the most expensive model, at $69,900, will have a range of 500 miles(804km ). The truck will accommodate up to six adults and has a payload capacity of 3,500lbs(1587kg). Elon Musk has also stated that the Cybertruck will have better utility than a Ford F-150 and superior performance to a basic Porsche 911

We will just have to wait till Tesla comes out with more details about the truck, Till then we will just have to take time to process this shock and awe design that Tesla has come out with to try to disrupt the pickup truck market.
