Nissan teases upcoming compact SUV

Nissan is ready to get serious about the compact SUV segment in our country with an all-new made for India SUV. Details are sparse but we do know that it will be manufactured here for our country and for export to other countries as well. We also know that it will share the CMF-A platform that underpins the Triber and will also share the 1-litre three-cylinder engine from the same. Nissan might also offer the option of a 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Nissan’s connected car technology, Nissan Intelligent Mobility, will add to the SUV’s features. The company has shared a picture of the SUV’s taillights that feature an LED outline with a honeycomb insert.

Nissan has announced that the car will launch in the middle of this year. Nissan’s offering will compete in a crowded and hotly contested compact SUV market against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV300.
