2020 Jaguar F-Type with new styling and tech

Jaguar has just launched the new facelift version of its F-Type , thankfully it retains many of the signature characteristics from this predecessor. The previous F-type won a lot of awards like the World Car Design of the year, so a lot was riding on this facelift to deliver in the design department. Jaguar design team definitely thought it was time the F-Type got a new design language. As you can see in this video below with Jaguar designers.

First to catch your eye is the all new LED headlights that are super slim and looks like a calligraphy style J font that forms the daytime running lights. Also a distinct clamshell hood that’s inspired by older Jaguar’s from the past like the C-type & D-type. It retains its iconic rear haunches, but the bumpers are new and have bolder lines and surfaces. The F-Type R gets a gloss black bezels around the car making it look more aggressive and helping it aerodynamically to reduce drag as well.

Coming to the interiors, the F-type gets a driver focused 1+1 cabin with a plush leather interior that features as 12-inch touch screen HD TFT display. In addition to that the F-Type comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard along with over the Air updates for the infotainment system that is now becoming an industry norm.

Powertrain wise the F-type gets 2.0-litre Four-Cylinder that puts out 296bhp and a Supercharged V8 with 575bhp that can be identified by its quad exhaust at the rear.All of this power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed transmission that can be manually operated by the steering mounted paddle shifters.

Jaguar with the F-Type is targeting to pull customers away from 911 and AMG GT’s, we will have to wait and see when Jaguar India decides to bring this facelift F-Type to India.
