Audi has launched the 2024 Audi Q8 in India, with prices for the SUV starting from Rs 1.17 crore. The SUV is powered by a 3-litre turbocharged V6 engine and it receives a subtle facelift for 2024 to enhance its visual appeal.
The most noticeable change on the 2024 Audi Q8 is the extensive use of black elements, replacing chrome with gloss black finishes across the grille, Audi rings, and various trim pieces. The headlamps are now narrower, while new bumpers with larger air intakes further emphasise its sporty character. The update also brings larger wheels, with base sizes jumping from 19 inches to 21 inches, and options available up to 23 inches. The blacked-out theme extends to the roof rails, wing mirrors, and even the twin tailpipes, all contributing to a more aggressive appearance.
Changes are minimal on the inside of the Audi Q8. There are new inlays available in wood, aluminium, and carbon, and the seats feature updated stitching. The three-screen layout, incorporating a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, and an 8.6-inch climate control screen, remains unchanged. However, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available. The cabin continues to offer a premium experience, this being Audi’s flagship.
The Q8 retains its 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine, producing 335bhp and 500Nm of torque. This powertrain allows the Q8 to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds, to an electronically-limited top speed of 250kmph. The engine is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, which should contribute to better fuel efficiency. Unfortunately, diesel options are not available for the Indian market, and the SQ8, with its more potent engine, is also excluded from the lineup.
