The 2022 Audi Q3 is a massively important SUV for the German automaker, considering it has been a best-seller for Audi in the past. The new Audi Q3 starts at ₹44.89 lakh for the Premium Plus variant. For 2022, the Q3 has gone through a generation change, with changes on the outside, inside and under the hood. Let’s take a look at what’s new on the Audi Q3.

The new-gen Audi Q3 takes obvious inspiration from the brand’s latest design philosophy, and this is headlined by the new octagonal grille design with vertical slats. The LED headlights and taillights are slimmer than before, making the grille seem even more massive. The new generation Q3 is larger in all dimensions compared to the previous gen, which should translate to better space in the interior. The design is wrapped around 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. For 2022, the SUV gets 5 colour options - orange, white, grey, black and blue.

The new Audi Q3 has what Audi is calling an “interior in aluminium look”, which means all the tactile surfaces, such as the buttons, handles and switches, are built out of aluminium. This is allied to two new colourway options for the interior, Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige. The dash showcase is the Audi virtual cockpit, along with a 10-speaker, 180W sound system. There is also an ambient lighting package with 30 colours as well as wireless charging. For safety, the Q3 gets six airbags as standard.

The new Q3 is powered by a 2-litre petrol TFSI engine that produces 187bhp and 320Nm of torque, which is enough to propel the SUV from 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds. This power goes to all four wheels by way of Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, which should make this a safe and reliable daily driver. It also has Audi’s drive select driving modes, along with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
