Audi India opens bookings for the new A4

The all new Audi A4 is on its way to India, and can now be booked from dealerships or on the official Audi India website for Rs 2 lakh. The fifth-gen A4 will be the first offering in 2021 from Audi India. Production for the new A4 has already begun at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd. (SAVWIPL) plant in Aurangabad.

The facelifted Audi A4 gets subtle design changes like a wider grille, new LED headlamps and DRLs and has overall been given a sportier look. The design brings the new A4 more in line with Audi’s current crop of cars like the Q8 and A8. Other features include full LED headlights, a fully digital 10.1-inch MMI connected touchscreen and while ditching the rotary/push button interface. The new A4 also gets revamped interiors with a continuous air vent with chrome accents and the new centre console. Users can choose to opt for the ambient lighting package as well.

Internationally the Audi A4 is offered in a variety of engine configurations. For India, Audi has decided to get only the 2-litre TFSI petrol engine variant which is mated to the seven-speed S-tronic gearbox. The engine, which of course is BS6 compliant, is good for 188bhp.

The new Audi A4 will mark the beginning of a power-packed year for us and we are confident of attracting buyers in that segment. 2021 will witness several product launches and we are extremely happy to kick-start the year with a model that has shaped the brand in India.”

Prices of the new A4 have yet to be revealed but to sweeten the deal Audi is throwing in a four-year comprehensive service package to all individuals who pre book the car. We expect the new A4 to be priced between Rs 42-45 lakh, ex-showroom.
