BMW S 1000 RR and R 1300 GS Adventure launched in India

BMW Motorrad has launched the new BMW S 1000 RR in India and the R 1300 GS Adventure, marking the second day of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The BMW S 1000 RR costs ₹21.1 lakh, while the R 1300 GSA costs ₹22.95 lakh. Both of these are purpose-built bikes and offer the best of what BMW has to offer. Available as completely built-up units (CBU), these bikes are now open for bookings, with deliveries set to begin in April 2025.
BMW S 1000 RR
This is powered by a 999cc inline-four engine producing 207bhp with maximum rpm hitting 14,600 revolutions. 0 to 100kmph acceleration is claimed to be 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of well over 300kmph. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox, quickshifter and a race-tuned anti-hopping clutch. The chassis features an aluminium bridge frame with a one-piece rear swinging arm.
The supersport bike stands out with its aggressive design and aerodynamic features. It gets new M winglets that provide improved downforce from 17.1kg to 23.1kg at speeds of 300kmph. Other aerodynamic enhancements include brake cooling ducts. The optional M package takes it up a notch with M Carbon wheels and M footrests. It also has a new 6.5-inch TFT display claimed to be more clear and intuitive while offering more riding modes. Riders can choose from Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race modes, with a new Race Pro mode offering more customizability. It gets a new M short-stroke throttle claimed to provide relaxed throttle control while limiting wrist movement.

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure
At the heart of the R 1300 GS Adventure is a new 1,300cc boxer engine delivering 143bhp and 149Nm of torque. It also gets a new suspension with features like EVO Telelever and EVO Paralever offering more control and stability. It also has four riding modes – Rain, Road, Eco, and Enduro along with features like Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) while the GS Trophy and Option 719 variants are also available with a quickshifter.
As for the design, it gets a completely redesigned look building on the R 1300. It has a 30-litre aluminium fuel tank, an LED Matrix headlamp, and a 6.5-inch full-color TFT display. Other standard features include a keyless ride, heated grips, and a smartphone charging option.

The BMW S 1000 RR costs ₹21.1 lakh, while the R 1300 GSA costs ₹22.95 lakh. Both of these are CBU units with deliveries set to begin in April 2025.
