Electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has launched a new variant of its F77 performance bike. Dubbed the F77 Super Street, this is a more road-focussed, easy going, version of the bike with an 85mm taller, and a 30mm wider handlebar that give the rider a more upright riding posture. As a result, the rider’s triangle on the Super Street is also less aggressive, with an 80-degree angle, compared to the F77 Mach 2’s more compromised 55-degree angle. And just like its sportier sibling, the F77 Super Street is also available in two variants, offering two battery pack options with up to 323km IDC-claimed range. Prices too remain unchanged, starting from Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom for the ‘standard’ and Rs 3.99 lakh, ex-showroom for the higher ‘Recon’ model.

Ultraviolette F77 Super Street styling and a features

At first glance, the F77 Super Street looks exactly like the F77 Mach 2, and that’s a good thing because the latter is a very good-looking bike with sharp, futuristic styling. It features an angular LED headlight, covers for the upside-down fork, large side fairings with neatly integrated and aero-optimised crash guards, and a sharp tail with fused grab handles. Upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the aforementioned standard handlebar with risers and a new mini front screen. Apart from these two elements and the Super Street badging on the sides, there’s little to indicate that this is a new model.

Unlike the F77 Mach 2's 9 colour options, the F77 SS is available only in four colours—Afterburner Yellow, Turbo Red, Cosmic Black and Stellar White.

On the features front, the Super Street gets a 5-inch TFT display, three ride modes—Glide, Combat and Ballistic, switchable dual-channel ABS, four-level traction control, hill-hold, dynamic stability contorl and an optional 9-level regen system (only on the Recon variant).

Ultraviolette also offers a whole host of optional extras including a TPMS, lever guards, aero discs, panniers—both soft and hard with a 30-litre and 3kg capacity each, aero discs for the alloys and a top-mount for your storage box. Moreover, Ultraviolette is also offering its ‘Violette A.I.’ smart tech which enables crash alerts, daily ride analytics, anti-collision warning system, remote lock/unlock and delta watch—essentially an alarm that goes off whenever someone tinkers with your bike.

Ultraviolette F77 Super Street battery, motor, charging and warranty

The F77 Super Street is available in two variants—Standard and Recon. The standard variant is powered by a 7.1kWh battery which promises an IDC-claimed 211km range. This battery sends power to a Permanent Magnet AC Motor which churns out 36bhp and 90Nm. It can do 0-60kmph in 2.9 seconds and 0-100kmph in 7.8 seconds. The higher Recon variant gets a bigger. 10.3kWh battery with a 323km IDC-claimed range. And it also has more power, 40bhp and 100Nm which gives it slightly quicker acceleration: 0-60kmph in 2.8 seconds and 0-100kmph in 7.7 seconds.

The standard variant can be topped up from 20 to 80 per cent in 3 hours via a standard charger. The optional boost charger brings down that time for 1.5 hours. The Recon model can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in 5 hours. The boost charger juices it up in 2.5 hours.

With the standard variant the brand offers a 3 year / 60,000k warranty which can be extended to 5 year / 1,00,000km with the UV Care Plus option. The Recon variant gets the UV Care Plus option as standard and an even more comprehensive UV Care Max pack that offers an industry leading 8 year / 8,00,000km warranty.
