TVS Raider 125 launched with a five-inch TFT instrument cluster

After almost a year of launching the TVS Raider 125 which also won the IMOTY award, the company has launched the bike with a new five-inch colour TFT instrument cluster at ₹99,990. This new instrument cluster gets connectivity features like voice assist, navigation and music control amongst others. Mechanically the bike remains identical to its standard version.

TVS Raider design:

TVS Raider 125 follows "If it ain't broke, why fix it?" with its design philosophy as it remains identical in design to its standard version and looks sporty with sharp cuts and creases across the bodyline. It is a sporty naked commuter by design and has its own character despite bearing some resemblance to its Apache RTR series. It gets two colour options-wicked black and fiery yellow.

TVS Raider 125 engine and chassis:

The TVS Raider 125 gets the same 124.8cc oil-cooled 3V engine as its standard version. The engine churns out 11.2bhp and 11.2Nm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Even the chassis remains the same with a 5-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear and a telescopic fork setup at the front.

TVS Raider 125 tech:

TVS Raider 125 receives a five-inch colour TFT display and gets TVS SMARTXONNECT which enables pairing your smartphone to receive notifications, turn-by-turn navigation, weather forecast, etc. Moreover, it comes with a feature that automatically reroutes you to a petrol station when fuel is low. Even the music can be controlled with voice commands.

TVS Raider 125 prices & rivals:

TVS Raider 125 is launched at ₹99,990. At this price range, it goes against the likes of the Honda SP125, Hero Glamour 125 and Bajaj Pulsar 125. This new model of the TVS Raider commands a roughly ₹6,500 premium over the disc-brake variant of the Raider. Does this new cluster justify the premium over the standard variant?
