Simple Energy has launched the updated One electric scooter. Say hello to the One Gen 1.5, which has been launched at a price of ₹1.66 lakh (ex-showroom), the same as before. It will boast a class leading IDC-certified range of 248km, courtesy of a larger 5kWh battery setup (0.3kWh more than before), along with multiple new features and a sharp and futuristic styling.
The One Gen 1.5 will come equipped with features like an app integration and navigation to track history and vehicle, a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with a built-in 4G Jio sim and navigation, Park Assist, TMPS, rapid brake, regenerative braking, USB charging port, auto brightness and sounds. It has a 30-litre boot which gets a Type-A USB port and a light. It will also sport updated four ride modes - Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic.
The One boasts an11.3bhp PMSM motor which puts out 72Nm of peak torque. It gets two batteries—a 3.7kWh floorboard unit and a 1.3kWh portable pack in the boot. The setup boasts an IDC-claimed 248km range. The highest on any electric scooter on sale in India today.
Powering the One is the same 11.3bhp PMSM mid-mounted motor which churns out 72Nm of peak torque. It can help this 136kg scooter to sprint from 0-40kmph in 2.77 seconds.
