After months of teasing, Royal Enfield has finally unveiled its upcoming offering, the Shotgun 650, at the Motoverse 2023. Initially, only 25 special hand-painted units of this bobber-style motorcycle, dubbed the Motoverse Edition, will be available through a lucky draw to event attendees at Rs 4.25 lakh. Royal Enfield has confirmed that the production version of the motorcycle will be available in 2024.
The Shotgun showcases classic bobber styling, featuring a long, low-slung profile, a distinct naked round headlamp with an offset console, bar-end mirrors, a single seat, and a bold, chopped rear fender. Its hardware package boasts an all-black theme, complemented by a hand painted vibrant blue and black paint scheme with edgy graphics. Noteworthy features include a full-LED lighting system and a semi-digital console equipped with a Tripper navigation module.
The Shotgun 650 is built on the same platform as the Super Meteor 650. The Shotgun has a steel chassis with a tubular spine frame. It has ten-spoke wheel rims that are ABS-equipped. The front suspension features upside-down forks, while the rear is equipped with twin shocks. The handlebars are low-rise and extra-wide. Royal Enfield Genuine accessories such as bar end mirrors and LED black indicators are included with the bike.
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is powered by the same 650cc engine found in the Super Meteor. While official figures have not been released, we can expect the Shotgun to produce 46bhp and 52Nm, just like its cruiser sibling.
Royal Enfield has priced the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition at Rs 4.25 lakh. Only 25 units of this edition will be produced which will be available exclusively to the attendees of the 2023 Royal Enfield Motoverse festival, with deliveries beginning in January 2024. Royal Enfield has also confirmed that the Shotgun 650 will be launched next year.
