The results of the 2024 Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) are out, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan has taken the top spot on the podium. The Himalayan outperformed the Harley Davidson X440, the Hero Karizma XMR, the KTM 390 Duke, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, the Triumph Scrambler 400X, and the TVS Apache RTR 310.

This year's IMOTY was held in Delhi, and the jury included 14 of India's best auto-noters, including evo India's editor Sirish Chandran and assistant editor Aatish Mishra. When determining the winner, price, fuel efficiency, styling, comfort, safety, performance, practicability, technical innovation, value for money, and suitability for Indian riding conditions were all important factors.

Winner: Royal Enfield Himalayan

Royal Enfield launched the all-new Himalayan in November 2023 at an introductory price of Rs 2.69 lakh. This bike has been extensively updated, including a new Sherpa 450 engine and a new steel twin-spar tubular frame chassis. The new engine now has 39.5bhp and 40Nm of torque.
