Royal Enfield, the motorcycle maker, has announced a collaboration with SENA to launch the co-branded 50S Mesh Communicator bike-to-bike intercom system. This partnership is celebrating the success of Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650 motorcycle.
Retrofittable to most helmets on the market, the 50S intercom system features speakers and a microphone developed in collaboration with the audio experts at Harman Kardon. The 50S features connectivity on a total of 9 channels, virtually unlimited number of users and a connectivity range from 2km to a maximum of 8km, while being Bluetooth 5 enabled. The system can also be connected to a smartphone and also features the new SENA Wave technology that enables limitless connectivity over the internet. Whenever the need arises, the Wave tech automatically switches from Mesh to VoIP, maintaining a connection and allowing conversations with riders outside the range too. And if a connection via Mesh is possible again, Wave automatically switches back to these modes without interruption.
Commenting on the launch of the 50S Mesh Communicator, Mohit Dhar Jayal, chief brand officer at Royal Enfield said, “We are thrilled to partner with SENA, a pioneer in motorcycle communication technology, to introduce the co-branded 50S Mesh Communicator. This collaboration underscores our dedication to providing motorcycles with enhanced riding experiences, especially with the launch of Super Meteor 650, which represents the pinnacle of cruiser motorcycling. Together with SENA we are offering riders not only exceptional machines but also cutting-edge connectivity for safer and more enjoyable journeys.”
The 50S Mesh Communicator is priced ₹35,990 in India, and can be purchased from the Royal Enfield online store. The link to the website is here.
