Oben Electric Rorr EZ launched, prices start from ₹89,999

Oben Electric has launched the Rorr EZ, an electric motorcycle aimed at city commuters. The Rorr EZ is offered in three battery variants and introductory prices start from ₹89,999.

The Rorr EZ’s battery makes use of LFP chemistry and is available in three capacities – 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh. The top speed of the Rorr EZ is 95kmph, while the motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in 3.3 seconds. The motor produces 10bhp of power and 52Nm of torque, and Oben Electric claims an extended range of 175km (as per IDC) for the Rorr EZ with the larger battery pack. The motorcycle is also equipped with three riding modes and fast-charging capabilities, allowing the battery to be charged to 80 per cent in 45 minutes. The Rorr EZ gets a colour LED display and safety features like geofencing and theft protection. The motorcycle is available in 4 colour schemes – Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White. 

Bookings for Rorr EZ are now open at a cost of ₹2,999, and customers can also opt for the comprehensive warranty packages for the motorcycles, with coverage up to 5 years or 75,000 kms. With its pricing and warranty package, Oben are clearly focussed on making the Rorr EZ a more appealing alternative compared to the rest of the ICE-powered commuter motorcycles on sale, but only a first ride of the motorcycle will tell us if its better than its competition.
