Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Xpulse 200V Dakar Edition, inspired by the performance of their factory rider Ross Branch, at the 2024 Dakar Rally. The Dakar Edition of the Xpulse is based on the Pro variant which gets adjustable suspension, and it is powered by the same 199.6cc engine producing 18.9bhp. Prices for the Dakar Edition start from ₹1.67 lakh.
The Dakar Edition is mechanically unchanged from the Pro variant. Like the Pro, the Dakar Edition also gets handlebar risers for improved ergonomics. You also get three ABS ride modes – Road, Off-road and Rally, which you can use depending on the conditions that you wish to ride your Xpulse in. The motorcycle also gets LED winkers and a hazard light switch, along with a gear position indicator.
Prices for the Dakar Edition start from ₹1.67 lakh, commanding a ₹3,000 premium over the Pro variant of the standard motorcycle. But with the upgrades, the Dakar Edition allows you to live the rally-raid lifestyle off the tarmac with greater ease.
