Ducati has unveiled the new Ducati XDiavel V4 sport cruiser globally, and the motorcycle is now powered by a MotoGP-derived V4 engine, along with a cruiser riding position. The Diavel has always been a motorcycle for those who want to stand out, and this facet has only been amped-up with the XDiavel V4. Read on to know more about this sport cruiser.

Ducati XDiavel V4 design

Ducati themselves describe the XDiavel V4 as a bike of contrasts, and it is evident in the design from the first glance. The motorcycle gets bold shapes, claimed to be inspired by supercars, and the XDiavel proudly displays its four-exit exhaust. The muscular fuel tank catches the eye with the new Black Lava and Burning Red colour schemes created specifically for the XDiavel V4, and you get full-LED lighting for the front and rear light clusters, along with the dynamic turn indicators. You get a single-side aluminium swingarm and the five star-shaped spokes of the wheels with machined surfaces reinforce a reference to American muscle cars.

The rider can enjoy the comfort of a low seat (770mm from the ground) and a handlebar that is set back and lowered, compared to the XDiavel 1260 to facilitate better manoeuvring. The rear suspension gets an increased travel of 25mm compared to the XDiavel 1260 and the passenger also gets a more spacious and comfortable seat, with a rear grab handle supplied as standard.

Ducati XDiavel V4 engine

The XDiavel V4 adopts the 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine which gets a counter-rotating crankshaft as on the Ducati MotoGP bike. The engine is a central element of the bike’s design and it produces 166bhp of power, with 126Nm of torque. The bike also gets an extended deactivation system, which switches off the rear cylinder bank not only when the bike is stationary but also when riding at low revs in conditions of reduced engine load. The bike is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed time of less than 3 seconds.

Ducati XDiavel V4 chassis

The XDiavel V4 has a kerb weight of 229kg, 6kg lighter compared to the XDiavel 1260 S, and the bike is equipped with an inverted fork with 60mm stanchions and a shock absorber with a cantilever layout, both fully adjustable. The braking duties are handled by 330mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers.

Ducati XDiavel V4 electronics

The bike gets three power modes and four riding modes – sport, touring, urban and wet – thanks to which the rider can adapt the power delivery of the engine and the intervention of the riding assistance systems like Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control and ABS Cornering. You also get cruise control, along with Ducati Quick Shift up/down from the Panigale V4, along with Launch control to ensure blazing starts for those traffic light GPs. The rider can manage all the electronic systems via the backlit controls on the handlebars and the new 6.9-inch TFT colour dashboard with an 8:3 aspect ratio, first introduced on the 2025 Panigale V4. The dashboard also offers Bluetooth connectivity to pair the smartphone for calls, text messages and music, or use the turn-by-turn navigation system (available as an accessory) via the Ducati Link app. The protective glass uses optical bonding technology to ensure optimal readability on a black background even during the day.

The Ducati XDiavel V4 is available in two colours

The Ducati XDiavel V4 is available in two colours as mentioned above, and both shades are metallic shades. This is also the first time that the motorcycle is offered in red, albeit a different red from the iconic Ducati Red and the Racing Red. As for the availability of the motorcycle, the XDiavel V4 will arrive in dealerships globally from May 2025 onwards, and it is likely that the motorcycle will make its way to India soon after that.
