Bajaj has launched a new series of Bajaj Chetak scooters

Bajaj has launched the flagship 35 Series of the Bajaj Chetak, with three variants – namely 3501, 3502 and 3503. Prices for the scooters start from ₹1.2 lakh (ex-showroom Bangalore) and here’s everything you need to know about them.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series design
The Bajaj Chetak 35 series looks identical to the scooters which are its predecessors, and the scooter gets a solid metal body which is rated IP67 for water resistance to ensure reliability across weather conditions. The Chetak 35 series also gets 35-litres of underseat storage, claimed to be the largest amongst EV two-wheelers, thanks to the all-new floorboard batteries on the 35 Series. The seat is also longer by 80mm, while the wheelbase receives a 25mm increase.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series features
The Chetak 35 Series now gets a TFT touchscreen with integrated maps, music control, call handling, and multiple safety features, such as remote immobilization, guide-me-home lights, geo-fencing, anti-theft and accident detection.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series powertrain
The 35 Series gets its nomenclature from the powerful 3.5 kWh battery capacity present on the three variants. You get a range of 153km on the Chetak 3501 and 3502, but no technical specifications or pricing have been revealed for the 3503. The 3501 can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in 3 hours, while the 3502 takes an additional 25 minutes. The 3501 also gets an onboard charger, while both the 3501 and the 3502 have a top speed of 73kmph.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series price
The Chetak 3501 is priced at ₹1.27 lakh while the 3502 is priced at ₹1.2 lakh, both prices ex-showroom Bangalore. No pricing or technical specifications have been revealed for the 3503 variant, and these scooters go up against rivals from Ather, Ola and TVS.
