Triumph has unveiled the new Speed Triple 1200 RS for 2025, and the motorcycle is now more powerful than before. It also features new electronics and updated styling. Read on to find out everything you need to know about the new Speed Triple 1200 RS.

The new model retains the twin headlights and the single-sided swingarm

2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS design

The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS takes cues from 30 years of Speed Triple design DNA, with the new model retaining the twin headlights and the single-sided swingarm. You get an aluminium twin-spar frame and new lightweight wheels. The bike also gets a sculpted fuel tank.

2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS chassis and suspension

The Speed Triple 1200 RS gets the latest-gen SmartEC3 semi-active suspension, with braking duties handled by Brembo Stylema calipers and a Brembo MCS span and ratio adjustable lever. You also get the Ohlins Object based Tuning Interface (OBTi) which allows riders to adjust the suspension’s damping characteristics in different riding scenarios. You also get a new independently adjustable Front Wheel Lift Control, Engine Braking Control and Brake Slide control, as well as fully adjustable cruise control.

The Speed Triple 1200 RS now makes more power than before, with the 1160cc in-line triple now making 180.5bhp. Torque is now up to 128Nm, which is 3Nm more than before. The Speed Triple also gets a new, free-flowing exhaust system and a compact, lightweight silencer. An Akrapovic silencer is available as an option.

2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS features

The 2025 updates to the Speed Triple 1200 RS include new performance electronics and engine braking control which is customisable according to the rider’s preference. You also get brake slide assist (available in Track mode only) which optimises the ABS calibration for track riding by allowing front wheel slip and more rear wheel lift – maximising performance on the track. You get five riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider , optimised cornering ABS and switchable optimised cornering traction control, and the Triumph Shift Assist quickshifter fitted as standard. The 5-inch TFT instrument screen provides instant access to all key information, controlled by a 5-way joystick and backlit switches. The standard-fit My Triumph Connectivity System enables turn-by-turn navigation, as well as phone and music control. You also get a new Emergency Deceleration Warning feature that activates a high frequency flash of the brake light to alert other road users in case of hard braking and rapid deceleration. The ignition, steering lock and fuel filler cap feature a keyless operation on the Speed Triple 1200 RS. For added security, the wireless function can be disabled with a single button press.
