2025 KTM 390 Adventure R specs revealed
The 390 Adventure R has refreshed styling, more power and more kit

KTM has finally revealed full specs of the 390 Adventure R. It’s now powered by the same 399cc single-cylinder mill as the fourth-gen 390 Duke, has received refreshed styling and also gets more kit. Globally, the top-model in the 390 Adventure range, after showcasing this model at the India Bike Week KTM India confirmed that it won’t be getting the 390 Adventure R here, and that’s a bummer because this bike boasts some really impressive specs.

Its styling is inspired by KTM’s Dakar bikes, with a more upright front-end, it has split-LED headlights, the brand’s new signature inverted DRLs, a taller windscreen, a longer front mud-guard and overall, has become slimmer than before. It borrows the 5-inch TFT cluster from the new 390 Duke and gets a new 14-litre sculpted tank. There’s also a narrower seat which should help shorter riders to manage the bike better, considering the seat height itself is a tall 870mm. At the back, the bike gets a longer tail section. The 390 Adventure R is underpinned by a steel trellis frame. It gets WP Apex 43 front suspension with a 230mm travel and a WP Apex Split Piston rear suspension, also with 230mm travel. It rides on a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel—both spoke alloys, which run tubeless dual-purpose tyres. The bike has a kerb weight for 165kg.
Its braking duties are handled by a 320mm ByBre floating disk radial caliper with 2 pistons, at the rear there’s a 240mm single-piston floating ByBre disc.

On the features front, it gets cruise control, cornering ABS, multiple ride modes, full LED lighting all-around, traction control, and dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode.
Powering the 390 Adventure R is KTM’s 399cc LC4c single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which makes 44bhp and 39Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox which also features a slipper clutch.
