Ducati has launched the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S in India and prices for the super sports bike start from ₹29.99 lakh, with the V4 S being priced at ₹36.50 lakh. With the 2025 model year, the Panigale V4 gets updates to the styling, ergonomics, electronics and of course, the engine. Read on to know more about the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S.
2025 Ducati Panigale V4 design
In terms of styling, the Ducati Panigale V4 now gets a new fairing which reduces aerodynamic resistance by 4 per cent. Ducati claims that to design the new Panigale V4, inspiration was taken from the Ducati 916. The side view of the new Panigale V4 is identical to that of the MotoGP bikes of recent years, while the headlight cluster with its double V-shaped DRLs is inspired by the Ducati 916. The Panigale V4 also gets a single air intake that is central in position and hidden under the fairing, while the tail is now longer and wider. The ergonomics of the Panigale V4 have been tweaked too. The seat-tank assembly for instance now offers greater roominess, while the rear area of the fuel tank, combined with the side covers and shape of the seat, aims to provide better support to the rider during braking and cornering. Compared to the previous Panigale V4, the footrests have been moved 10mm inwards to increase ground clearance of the motorcycle.
2025 Ducati Panigale V4 engine
Powering the Panigale V4 is the Desmosedici Stradale engine derived from the Ducati MotoGP bike, and it is claimed to be more powerful and lighter than the previous Panigale V4. This engine produces 213bhp and 121Nm of torque (225bhp if specced with the optional racing exhaust) and the distribution diagram of the engine has been revised, with the cams featuring a different profile and a higher lift value. The alternator and the oil pump on the Panigale V4 are now the same as the units present on the Panigale V4 R, and the gearbox drum comes from the Superleggera V4 motorcycle. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox which comes with a quickshifter.
2025 Ducati Panigale V4 chassis, suspension and brakes
Coming to the chassis of the Panigale V4, the front frame has now been modified and a new double-sided swingarm was developed for the motorcycle – the latter being called the ‘hollow symmetrical swingarm’. This swingarm allows the position of the silencer under the engine to be maintained, and it also reduces the lateral stiffness and weight of the motorcycle. This translates to improved traction when exiting corners. The front frame of the motorcycle is also lighter and the Panigale V4 is the first motorcycle in the world equipped with Brembo HypureTM front brake callipers. The Panigale V4 also premieres the Race eCBS system developed by Bosch in collaboration with Ducati. In terms of the suspension, the Panigale V4 comes with a Showa Big Piston Fork with chrome-plated 43 mm diameter stanchions, fully adjustable in hydraulic compression and rebound damping, and in spring preload. You also get a Sachs steering damper. At the rear, suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber. Meanwhile, the V4 S is equipped with an Öhlins NPX-30 pressurized fork, an Öhlins TTX36 rear shock absorber and an Öhlins steering damper.
2025 Ducati Panigale V4 equipment and electronics
The 2025 Panigale V4 gets a comprehensive electronics package which includes the Race eCBS, a six-axis IMU, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, Ducati slide control, along with five riding modes – Race A, Race B, Sport, Road and Wet. The V4 also debuts a new 6.9-inch dashboard and the TFT panel is protected by glass glued with optical bonding technology. The screen offers two display modes – road and track.
