2025 Ducati Multistrada V2 unveiled globally
The all-new Ducati Multistrada V2 gets a whole host of updates

Ducati has unveiled the all-new Multistrada V2 globally, and this new model is lighter than the model it replaces. It is powered by a new 890cc V2 engine, and you can read on to know about all the updates to this new-gen motorcycle.

2025 Multistrada V2 design
The Multistrada V2 continues to draw inspiration from the other models in the Multistrada family, with a light and short tail, the front ‘beak’ and a design that combines functionality with form. The windshield is adjustable in height and for thermal comfort, upwash lateral air conveyors have been introduced into the design, to help direct fresh air to the rider’s legs. The latter were previously seen on the Multistrada V4. You get new headlights and DRLs inspired by the latest-gen Panigale and Multistrada V4, while the ‘beak’ is shorter. The indicators have also been redesigned and integrated into the design of the side panels.
The ergonomics have also been revised, with redesigned seats for the rider and passenger. The Multistrada V2 can also be equipped with a seat that can be adjusted to two positions, with heights of 850mm and 830mm. Accessories include a seat raised to 870mm and one lowered to 810mm. On the S version, thanks to the semi-active DSS (Ducati Skyhook Suspension) and the Minimum Preload system, it is possible to lower the seat to 790 mm.

2025 Multistrada V2 chassis, suspension and electronics
The new Multistrada V2 is equipped with a completely redesigned frame, rear subframe and swingarm, which embrace the same construction philosophy as the Multistrada V4. The frame is an aluminium monocoque that uses the engine as a stressed element, the rear subframe is a steel trellis and the swingarm is cast in aluminium. All this, combined with the new V2 engine, allows the Multistrada to arrive at a weight of 199 kg without fuel for the V2 version, and 202 kg for the V2 S version equipped with semi-active suspension.
The Multistrada V2 is equipped with a Marzocchi fork with 45 mm tubes and a Sachs shock absorber with progressive link, both being fully adjustable. The Multistrada V2 S boasts semi-active suspension with Ducati Skyhook Suspension electronic control. There’s also a minimum preload function that allows the rear suspension to be lowered to a minimum with the simple press of a button, allowing the feet to be in contact with the ground, especially when fully loaded with a passenger. As on the new Multistrada V4, the suspension modes can be selected independently of the riding modes. The Multistrada V2 also gets a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, along with a Brembo braking system with twin 320mm front discs and a single 265mm rear disc.
The electronics on the new Multistrada V2 are manageable via redesigned handlebar controls and you also get a new 5-inch TFT colour dashboard. You get five riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro and Wet – and four power modes for the engine. The dashboard also gets three infomodes – Road, Road Pro and Rally – changing the information displayed to the rider. The Ducati Multistrada V2 is also equipped with cruise control, a USB socket integrated into the dashboard and the Ducati Brake Light EVO (which manages emergency flashing in sudden braking). In case of the V2 S version with the Ducati Multimedia System you also get the possibility of activating the turn-by-turn navigation accessory.

2025 Multistrada V2 engine
The Multistrada V2 is equipped with the new Ducati V2 engine, an 890cc, 90-degree V-twin with IVT variable intake valve timing and distribution with coil spring valve recall. This new engine weighs 54.9kg and produces 113bhp of power and 92Nm of torque. The gear ratios have also been specifically redesigned for the Multistrada, with a shorter first and second gear to improve usability at low speeds and for full load acceleration. The 6-speed gearbox is also equipped with Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, which offers a more precise feel and faster gear changes.
The new Multistrada V2 is available in two versions – the standard, and the V2 S, which gets the DSS semi-active suspension. The former can be had in the Ducati red colour scheme, while you can choose between storm green and Ducati red for the latter. Globally, the new Multistrada V2 will arrive in dealerships in January 2025.
