Bentley and coachbuilder Mulliner have been commissioned by Bentley Mumbai to create five limited-edition vehicles as a tribute to the colours of the Indian flag, to be sold exclusively in the Indian market. This marks the first time ever that Bentley has produced a special edition for India. The new Opulence Editions include five vehicles – one Bentley Continental GT Speed, one Flying Spur Speed, and three Bentayga EWB Azure models. The vehicles remain unchanged mechanically, but benefit from a potpourri of options and extras from Mulliner – Bentley’s in-house customisation department.

Bentley Opulence Edition exterior

The India-specific Opulence Editions mark the first production use of the Scarab Green paint option from Mulliner’s catalogue, originally used on Bentley’s coachbuilt barchetta, the Bentley Bacalar.  The paint is inspired by the iridescent green exoskeleton of the Scarab beetle. On the Opulence Editions, it represents the green of the Indian flag.

Bentley Opulence Edition interior

The interiors of the Opulence Edition Bentleys are upholstered in Mandarin primary and Cumbrian Green secondary leather to represent the saffron and green of the Indian flag. On the piano black dashboard trim are chrome motifs of wild horses and mountain peaks. The Opulence Edition Bentley Bentayga EWB Azures are only available as 4-seaters, with the two rear seats being separated by the Mulliner console bottle cooler.

Bentley Opulence Edition prices

Prices for the Bentley Opulence Editions haven’t been announced, and likely won’t be. However, they will cost a good chunk more than the standard vehicles courtesy of the considerable interior and exterior options from Mulliner’s catalogue. Regardless, the Opulence Editions are just five limited edition vehicles and it wouldn’t be surprising if all of them are already spoken for.
