Festive season is around the corner and Audi India is giving its customers a big incentive to bring home a brand new Q8 Celebration. While the Celebration variant comes in at Rs 98.98 lakh, which is a saving of Rs 34 lakh over the standard Q8, it does miss out on certain creature comforts that the standard Q8 gets. Here’re the key differences.

While the Q8 gets 20-inch rims as standard, the Q8 Celebration gets 19-inchers. The Celebration variant also loses out on the active air suspension. Instead, it gets steel springs with dynamic damping.

On the inside, the Celebration sports a standard Audi 10-speaker sound system rather than the Bang & Olufsen setup seen in the standard Q8. The Audi Phone Box, which enables wireless smartphone charging, is equipped in the ‘Light’ iteration for the Celebration, wherein you don’t get the external antenna which improves network stability, as seen on the standard Q8. Apart from this, the more affordable variant comes with matte black buttons, instead of the brushed aluminium ones. Lastly, the key fob of the Celebration isn’t as fancy as the standard Q8.

Thankfully, the Q8 Celebration retains the 3-litre V6 TFSI turbo-petrol engine which makes 335bhp and 500Nm of twist, mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. The Q8 can sprint to 100kmph in 5.9 seconds, all the way to its 250kpmh top speed.

If the differences mentioned above don’t really bother you and you’re in the market for an Audi Q8, the Celebration edition is a no-brainer since you’re saving a ton of cash for almost the same car. Let’s not forget, the Q8 shares its platform with other luxury SUVs under the Volkswagen umbrella, such as the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne.
