And just like that it was nearly over… it’s time for us to head to South Korea for the final round of Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. It is a completely new country for me and a new racetrack for us all, which sets a level playing field and whole host of new challenges.
The Seoul E-Prix actually feels a long time coming for us, with the inaugural race meant to have been held a few years back before being postponed due to the pandemic. I know the city and culture is amazing so hopefully we will get some time to explore!
The layout of the circuit around the Olympic Park looks like a strong one, with a really interesting set of corners that should deliver some good racing. As no driver on the grid has raced here before, it’ll be fun to see how everyone gets to grips with it. The humidity will certainly play a part this weekend, and I predict the weather will bring some challenges for all teams.
Despite not collecting any points in London, I feel pretty positive about the progress we made in the second race to climb eleven places, and I’m hoping we can build on this for the final two rounds. The team is working hard back at base and I’m spending plenty of time on the simulator too – we all would love a strong result to end the season on a high.
This weekend is also notable for the team as it will be their 100th race in Formula E. This is a massive milestone, and it would be amazing to celebrate with some results that the team deserve.
Keep an eye on the Mahindra Racing social channels to follow our performance over the weekend and to see exclusive and behind the scenes content. You can also Fanboost me, which gives me an extra boost of power during the race. Find out all the information on how to do this at the Formula E website here.
