The most coveted vehicle award in the country, the Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) was held in Delhi on January 10, 2023. Kicked off in 2005, the ICOTY jury consists of India's finest automotive journalists, including evo India’s editor Sirish Chandran and assistant editor Aatish Mishra. These awards have been backed by JK Tyre ever since their inception.

The ICOTY award is granted to cars in three categories: Car of the Year, Premium Car of the Year, and Green Car of the Year, honouring the best vehicles introduced during the course of the year. The Mahindra Thar Roxx won the overall Car of the Year award, with the jury awarding it with 139 points, nosing two points ahead of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which scored 137 points. The Maruti Suzuki Swift came in third place with 83 points.

The MG Windsor EV won the Green Car of the Year award at ICOTY 2025

The Green Car of the Year award by ICOTY was won by the MG Windsor, which won the award with 157 points. The BMW i5 came in second place with 99 points while the BYD Seal completed the podium with 87 points. The Premium Car of the Year award by Mercedes-Benz for the E-Class, with the luxury sedan scoring 140 points. The BMW 5 Series came in second place with 107 points while the Kia Carnival came in third place with 65 points.

In addition to members from evo India, the jury consisted of Dhruv Behl and Ishan Raghava from AutoX, Yogendra Pratap and Dipayan Dutta from Auto Today, Aspi Bhatena and Joshua Varghese from Car India, Kartik Ware and Pablo Chatterji from Motoring World, Kranti Sambhav and Rohit Paradkar from Overdrive, Vikrant Singh and Sagar Bhanushali from Carwale, Arpit Mahendra from TOI India, Amey Dandekar from CarDekho Group, Kushan Mitra from The Print, Abhay Verma from Turbocharged, Cyrus Dhabar from Powerdrift, Ashish Masih from Times Drive and Bob Rupani.
