Prices for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler start at Rs 67.65 lakh for the Unlimited variant and Rs 71.65 lakh for the more premium Rubicon variant. For 2024, the car has got design updates including a new grille and wheels, safety features including ADAS and more airbags and also comfort features like dual-zone climate control. Here’s more.
The Wrangler continues with its iconic face with the circular headlamps and 7-slat grille. The grille has got an update though – it now comes with black textured slots, neutral grey metallic bezels, and body-colour surround (platinum silver slots and bezels on Unlimited). The front camera sits between the grille to give a view of the front when you are off-roading. For 2024, the windscreen is now made with Corning Gorilla Glass. The sides also have a similar design language with wide mirrors and a boxy look as before but the wheel design has been updated (18-inch wheels on Unlimited, 17-inch with MT on Rubicon). The Wrangler also has good ground clearance – 237mm, with a 43.4-degree approach, 21.5-degree departure and 27.9-degree rampover angle.
The interior is where the most changes have been made for 2024. For 2024, the car has been made more comfortable with heated steering and seats, dual-zone climate control, Mckinley leather (Unlimited) and Nappa leather (Rubicon) seats, an updated 8-speaker 552W Alpine audio system and more sound deadening to reduce noise by 5db, (15db noise reduction through active noise cancellation). You also have power-adjustable seats that work even under 34 inches of water. The dashboard design has been updated and now it gets a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen with more detailed information. Safety-wise, there are multiple ADAS features and side curtains as standard. For 2024, it also introduces second-row outboard seatbelts and structural enhancements.
Like before, it continues with a body-on-frame concept with incredible off-road capabilities with proper 4x4 with low range, front and rear diff lockers (electric on Unlimited, mechanical on Rubicon), electronic sway bar disconnect, Off-Road Plus mode that optimised throttle, transmission and traction control. It is still powered by the 2-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine which generates 266bhp and 400Nm. It is paired with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission.
