Maruti Suzuki India has launched the 2019 Ignis at Rs 4.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The peppy hatch from India’s largest carmaker now complies with the latest safety standards.
The updated Maruti Suzuki hatch comes with reverse parking assist system, co-driver seat belt reminder and high-speed alert system as standard features across all the variants. On the design front, the carmaker has added roof rails to Zeta and Alpha variants. It was already equipped with dual airbags and ABS.
The Ignis comes with Maruti’s K-series four-cylinder 1.2-lite petrol engine that makes 81.8bhp and 113Nm of torque. The hatch comes with a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.89km/l which is great for a petrol motor. The Ignis gets manual as well as AMT transmission options.
Launched in 2016, the urban-crossover styled hatch competes with the likes of Ford Freestyle and Mahindra KUV100 NXT and the Hyundai Grand i10. Here’s the updated price-list of the new Ignis-
