BMW has finally unveiled the 2019 edition of the Z4 Roadster at the Concours d’Elegance, Pebble Beach. The low centre of gravity and the 50:50 weight distribution keeps the Z4’s handling potential alive. The new roadster only shares the body type with its predecessor, but has gone through a chunk of changes in terms of design, handling and performance.
The new Z4 M40i is powered by a 3.0-litre inline, 6-cylinder engine that is tuned to make 382bhp and 500Nm of torque. BMW says that the new roadster is capable of sprinting to 100kmph in under 4.4 seconds. It also boasts an M-tuned sport suspension.
The car is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels in a two-tone design, and black mirror caps. The 2019 Z4 First Edition will also include a head-up display, adaptive LED headlights, two high-resolution digital displays and a Harman Kardon sound system. It features vertically stacked headlights, a BMW grille with a mesh design, large air vents on the front wheel arches and a spoiler on the trunk.
