Pro-stock 301-400cc Open

TVS Racing’s young racers Sarthak Chavan and Chiranth Vishwanath started the first race of the pro-stock 301-400cc Open class by pulling ahead of the pack right from the start. Both were neck and neck with Sarthak leading. The duo raced extremely closely throughout with the lead changing hands twice. But in the final corner of the last lap, Chiranth made a desperate move which didn’t stick and led to him crashing. However, he did get up and finished 10th while Sarthak took the win. Sarthak was followed by Rahil Pillarisetty and Alwin Sundar, both of KTM Gusto Racing India.

Pro-stock 165cc Open

The crash in the Pro Stock 301-400cc Open race led to Chiranth having an ailing left leg ahead of Race 1 in the pro-stock 165cc class. The Bangalorean did take the start but was overtaken by his TVS Racing teammates. He was again engaged in a fight with Sarthak Chavan and the two ultimately collided with Sarthak going off the track, Chiranth went on to overtake both Jagan Kumar and KY Ahamed for his maiden win of the season.

Stock classes

Abdul Basim of One Racing again led his Novice (Stock 165cc) class grid to a fifth straight win, continuing his undefeated streak this season. In the Girls class, pole-sitter Ann Jennifer had a crash in the opening lap, after which the race was reduced to three laps and led to former champion Ryhana Bee (Motul Sparks Racing) getting her first win of the season. The stock (301-400c) class also saw a lot of close racing, but it was Raj Kumar (RDX Torque Racing) who won ahead of Shyam Sundar K of Tachyon Motorsport.

Former champion Ryhana Bee scored her first win of the season in the Girls (Stock 165cc) class.

In the TVS One Make Championship, it was another consecutive win for Bengaluru’s Harshith Bogar who remains undefeated after five races in the Rookie (Apache RTR 200) class.
