TVS Racing is launching the TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) GP Championship, aimed at providing TVS Apache owners with an opportunity to explore the racing capabilities of their motorcycles in a safe environment. According to TVS Racing, the championship is part of the company's commitment to promoting racing culture and nurturing talent across India.
The TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) program, initiated in 2007, serves as a platform for TVS Apache riders to engage in exclusive experiences and leverage the racing DNA of their motorcycles. The upcoming season of the championship will involve over 1,000 customers from 20 cities, offering them the chance to participate and learn the intricacies of track racing across three categories.
TVS Racing's extensive racing heritage and expertise, spanning over four decades, have contributed to the development of the TVS Apache series. The series has recently surpassed 5 million global sales, establishing itself as a prominent premium motorcycle brand in its segment. The TVS One Make Championship (OMC), initiated in 1994, has trained and provided opportunities to over 3,000 aspiring racers. Currently, the programme encompasses four categories in India: Rookie, Women's, Media, and Expert. In 2022, TVS Racing expanded internationally with the introduction of the TVS Asia One Make Championship.
The TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) GP Championship will be divided into three categories based on the TVS Apache models: Category 1 for owners of TVS Apache RTR 160 and TVS Apache RTR 180; Category 2 for owners of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V; and Category 3 for owners of TVS Apache RR 310. The championship will include full-day training consisting of theory and practical track sessions conducted by expert riders from TVS Racing.
The first rounds of the championship are scheduled to take place in Vadodara (July 15, 2023), Surat (July 16, 2023), and Hyderabad (July 16, 2023). The dates for the remaining cities will be announced soon. Winners from each city in each category will be shortlisted for the final round, scheduled for January 2024. The shortlisted participants will have the opportunity to race on the TVS One Make Championship Race Spec motorcycles, specifically the TVS Apache RTR 200 and RR310 race-spec machines.
To participate in the championship, TVS Apache owners can register on the official TVS Motor Company website. More information regarding the championship's schedule and locations will be available on the website. Participation in the championship requires the use of the participant's motorcycle to ensure a comprehensive experience.
