Mahindra Racing diaries on the final round of 2021 ABB FIA Formula E

London was unfortunately a race weekend to forget for me. During race one I got tapped from behind and as a result broke something in the drivetrain and in the second race I picked up a puncture on the first lap and was forced to pit for a new tyre which pushed me to the back of the pack. It was a real shame as everyone in the team puts so much effort into these things. However it was great to see Alex do so well and hopefully my luck will turn for Berlin!

Tempelhof is a circuit that everybody knows very well from racing in previous years, but this will be the first year I’ve driven the Mahindra Racing car there so the time on the sim is still vital as it allows me understand the small tweaks that I need to make to optimise my driving and our package.

The format of having two configurations of the same circuit will be interesting – it will change it up compared to the other double-headers we’ve had this year - but obviously we’ve had some experience of doing more than one configurations last year at Berlin as well.

I really enjoy Berlin; not only is it a lovely city which I obviously experienced back in Season 5 (not so much last year!) but it’s a fun track, lots of overtaking opportunities and should be fairly energy challenging and maybe temperature limited as well. I’m looking forward to racing there again and hopefully we can end the season on a high.
