Round 2 of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship was hosted at the Kari Motor Speedway Racetrack from November 19-21. Over the three days, we saw some really intense battles in the Formula LGB4 and the JK Tyre Novice Cup. One of the biggest highlights came from Ruhaan Alva as he won all the three races of the JK Tyre Novice Cup. The dominance shown by him on the track was exceptional and it bolstered his name for a chance in the bigger formula cars in the future. In the Formula LGB4 category, Tijil Rao (Dark Don Racing) was the most consistent driver over the three races as he came second in the first two races and wond the last race of the round.
With that said, let us now take a look as to how the weekend unfolded in the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship.
JK Tyre Novice Cup
In Race 1 of the JK Tyre Novice Cup, it was 15-year-old Ruhaan Alva (MSport) who came first across the checkered line followed by young gun Jaden R. Pariat (MSport) in second and Aadithya Parasuram (Hasten Performance) in third. Ruhaan started from the pole and even though the race was red flagged on the opening lap, it did not hamper his restart as he cruised to victory with a gap of three seconds from Jaden. After the race, Ruhaan said, “The race was really hot. I did not push really hard as I did not want the tyres to overheat too much. That’s just the way, I take care of my car,”
In the final two races Jaden R. Pariat showcased his talent by finishing second in both the races but Ruhaan claimed his third victory in Round 2 of the Novice Cup. There was no one on the track who was able to pile a charge on Ruhaan during the weekend.

Formula LGB4
In the first race of the Formula LGB4 category, Amir Sayed, with his new team Ahura Racing, outclassed the grid after starting from P4. He had a good start of the line but had to battle hard to overtake the drivers ahead of him.
Pole sitter Arya Singh was right up there with Sandeep Kumar and Tijil Rao as they fought for the lead, only to be beaten by Sayed in the end. Sayed did not have a stress free race as it was halted thrice due to the safety car.
But Sayed managed to withstand the pressure from the drivers behind and came home first, taking his maiden win in the process with Tijil Rao in second and Sandeep Kumar in third. “It is such a great feeling to win with a grid full of champions. It really means a lot to me,” said an elated Sayed.
In the second and third race, the Dark Don Racing team bounced back and captured all the positions on the podium. Dark Don drivers Tijil Rao, Sandeep Kumar and Arya Singh were pushing for the lead in the second race, but in the end, T.S. Diljith won with Tijil Rao in second and Sandeep Kumar in third.
In the third race, Tijil Rao was the first to take the checkered flag, finishing 1.8 seconds ahead of Sandeep Kumar in second with Ashwin Datta finishing behind the two in third.
