Ferrari took the wraps off its brand-new GT car, the Portofino, at the Frankfurt motor show. The Portofino is a replacement for the California, one of Ferrari’s most popular models. The Portofino will be powered by a V8 Turbo petrol unit producing 590bhp and propelling the Portofino to a 100kmph in a scant 3.5 seconds. The Portofino will breach 200kmph in 10.8 seconds. Ferrari clams that a new aluminium chassis construction shaves 80kgs off the weight and also has 35 percent more torsional rigidity. The Portofino gets an Electric Power Steering and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with an electronic differential. The infotainment has also been revamped with the passenger getting a display along with the 10.25” central touchscreen.
We covered the Portofino in greater detail recently. You can read all about it here.
