The Mahindra Thar Roxx has been officially launched and has received several key updates on the 3-door version. The exterior features a new six-slot grille, C-shaped DRLs, LED projectors, and a metal roof with a panoramic sunroof. The side now includes two additional doors and 19-inch alloy wheels, while the rear maintains the twin tailgate design. Inside, the Roxx offers a more premium cabin with a 10.25-inch centre screen, perforated leatherette seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a host of features like a 360-degree camera and Harmon Kardon sound system. Engine options include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol making up to 173bhp, and a 2.2-litre diesel making up to 174bhp, with the diesel variant offering a 4x4 option as well. Prices start at Rs 12.99 lakh for the base petrol variant and Rs 13.99 lakh for the base diesel variant, with additional variant pricing yet to be announced. Mahindra Thar Roxx variants

The Thar Roxx is available in six variants – MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L and AX7L. The Petrol-MT combination is available only in the MX1 and MX5 variants, whereas the Petrol-AT combo can be had in the MX3, MX5 and AX7L variants. All variants featuring the petrol engine are exclusively RWD.

Diesel engines come in both RWD and 4x4 configurations. The Diesel/MT/RWD configuration is available in all variants save for the AX5L, while the Diesel/AT/RWD is available in MX3, MX5, AX5l and AX7L. There are only four variants that allow for Diesel/4x4 configurations. With MT, it is available in MX5 and AX7L variants while with AT, it is available in AX5L and AX7L.

MX1 variant

Despite being the base variant, it gets features like LED projector headlamps, taillamps and six airbags. It also gets ESP with Brake Locking Differential (BLD), along with 3-point seat belts. Inside, there’s a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start, and rear AC vents. Other highlights include driver seat height adjustment, height-adjustable front seat belts, luggage net hooks in the boot, and follow-me-home headlamps.

MX3 variant

The MX3 variant enhances the experience with a host of additional features. It includes a 10.25-inch HD infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay, along with Gen II adventure statistics. The MX3 trim also offers drive modes like Zip and Zoom, along with selectable terrain modes for Snow, Sand, and Mud. Convenience features include cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, and wireless charger. Additionally, it gets a reverse camera and electric-adjust ORVMs. At the rear, it gets an armrest with a cup holder. The MX3 also comes equipped with a rear defogger, driver window with one-touch up/down, and spare wheel cover.

MX5 variant

The MX5 variant builds on the MX3 trim, featuring a single-pane sunroof and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. For the 4x4 variants, an Electric Locking Differential (ELD) enhances off-road performance along with TPMS. The acoustic windshield ensures a quieter cabin, and it also gets LED DRLs and LED front fog lamps. The interior gets footwell lighting, leatherette seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Auto headlamps, auto wipers, and front parking sensors are also added. Additionally, two tweeters are also there, making the MX5 an adequate upgrade over the MX3.

AX3L variant

Building on the features of the MX3, the AX3L variant introduces technology and convenience elements. This variant is equipped with Level 2 ADAS and an electric parking brake with an Auto Hold function. Inside, the twin 10.25-inch infotainment and digital cluster screens take centre stage, featuring Adrenox Connect with built-in Alexa, allowing you to control various functions with voice commands. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both wireless in this variant. It features fully automatic climate control, and an acoustic windshield for a quieter cabin, along with auto headlamps and auto wipers.

AX3L Diesel (RWD, MT): Rs 16.99 lakh

AX5L variant

This variant takes the features of the MX5 to the next level with more tech and added convenience. This variant includes Level 2 ADAS and an electric parking brake with Auto Hold like the AX3L. Similarly, it also gets twin HD 10.25-inch infotainment and digital cluster screens with Adrenox Connect and built-in Alexa. Other than that, there is Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with automatic temperature control. For the 4x4 AT variants, CrawlSmart and Intelliturn features are included, further improving off-road capability.

AX7L variant

The AX7L stands at the top of the lineup, offering the most features and premium comforts. It includes Level 2 ADAS, electric parking brake, HD 10.25-inch infotainment and digital cluster screens, just like the AX3L and AX5L. Exclusive to 4x4 AT variants, CrawlSmart and Intelliturn features are also carried over from AX5L.
