The winner for the student category was Cookmate, made by Chandru, winner of the open category was Drishyam, by Adarsh Natarajan. In the establish category - craft work, the winner was Rafiq Ni Sujanii by RasLeela Textile, in eco innovation the award was bagged by Mahek Parvez for SunHarvested CoolRooms and the winner for design in social impact was of Rahoul Singh who presented a Community Library Project. Rajesh Agrahari won the prize of jury’s special mentions with his project called Golden Feathers. Akshay Taiwade won Media Choice Award and the Lexus Guests’ Choice Award for his project - Inclusive Communication Medium for Deaf-Blind Persons, and lastly the People’s Choice Award winner was Hitashini Rajagopal who’s project was The matlab.
The winners were picked from more than a thousand entries based on Lexus’s three key design principles - Anticipate, Innovate and Captivate, in the pursuit to craft a better tomorrow. The winners were announced after extensive rounds of deliberation by the jurors. The winners received the Lexus Design Award trophy designed by globally acclaimed designer, Michael Foley. For the winners of the conceptual category, Lexus committed a Rs 5 lakh award each to support the development and market realisation of their projects.
