The day has finally come when the latest instalment of the Fast and Furious movie franchise hits the screens. The film's display of beautiful automobiles has always been praised more than the plot by auto enthusiasts. While we cannot do away with spoilers, here is a list of all the hot metal that wooed our hearts in the Fast X movie.
What could be better than seeing a beast of a bike in its most basic form? The makers of FastX have just done that with the Harley Davidson Pan America. This Pan Am was bereft of everything that wasn't necessary, including the windshield, dash, blinkers, and more, all in the name of speed. The stock motorcycle comes with a 1252cc engine that produces 148bhp of power and 128Nm of torque.
Dom's 1970 Dodge Charger R/T would have been the movie's star if only cars could have lead roles in live-action films. The car, which seems to have appeared in nearly every Fast and Furious film, originally had a 7.2-litre V8 engine that could generate 390bhp and 665Nm of torque.
Pretty huge name for a car, right? Also huge is the performance that is packed under the hood. This beast came with a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V-8 engine that produced 697hp and 880Nm of torque. Vin Diesel drives a Hellcat with a widebody kit in this movie, thanks to Dodge, which has become a partner in the Fast series.
While we strictly adhere to the no-spoiler policy, we cannot avoid talking about this because, in the Fast X trailer, Dante arrives at an underground street race in a classic purple Chevrolet Impala, ready to race Dom, who is in the famed 1970 Charger. The original 1966 Chevrolet Impala came with a 5359cc engine that produced 275bhp of power and 481Nm of torque.
A bright yellow Datsun 240Z with a widebody kit and a turbocharger sticking out of the bonnet, what more do you need to make your entire day? The most we can reveal is that the car was racing alongside the Chevy vs. Dodge street race, but you will have to watch the movie to know who the driver was. Although the performance figures of the beauty shown in the movie are unknown, the stock Datsun 240Z had a 2.4-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine that generated 150bhp of power and 198Nm of torque. The one shown in the movie had an RB26 swapped engine under its hood.
The Lamborghini Gallardo was the poster car of the millennials. You will witness a gold-plated version of this supercar in a car chase sequence in the Fast X movie. The stock supercar shipped a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine that produced 493bhp of power and 510Nm of torque.
A classic orange Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV begins a convoy scene, driving in the midst of the pack in the movie. It's not surprising that the 2000 GT is one of the most stylish vintage Alfa Romeo models ever since Giorgetto Giugiaro created it for Bertone. A naturally aspirated inline-four engine with a manual, five-speed transmission powered the stock Alfa Romeo with a maximum output of 121bhp and 186Nm of torque.
Though the car isn't shown in great detail in the trailer, the most we can tell is that it is involved in the bridge chase in which Dom attempts to save his son from Dante. The Ford Fairlane came with a 4.7-litre V8 engine that produced 200 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 383Nm. A 3-speed manual with an overdrive gearbox transferred the power to the rear wheels.
The movie theatre screens displayed a vintage Chevrolet El Camino with rocket launchers. The trailer is the most we can reveal, and it reveals that John Cena's character, Jakob Toretto, was the driver of this truck during the chase across the Los Angeles bridge. The mid-range engines for the 1967 Chevrolet El Camino were both 5.4-litre V8s, with the L30 engine having a maximum output of 271bhp and 481Nm and the L79 engine having a higher output of 320bhp and 481Nm.
Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw will be seen in Fast X with a red McLaren Senna. With only 500 produced, the McLaren Senna is one of the most expensive and rarest McLarens in existence. The McLaren Senna, named after legendary F1 racer Ayrton Senna, uses a modified 720S twin-turbocharged V8 engine codenamed the M840TR, which produces 778bhp of power and 800Nm of torque.
When it comes to Porsches, the GT3 RS is the closest thing to a road-legal race car, which is why auto nuts adore them so much. The car featured in the movie is a green 997-generation model with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that produces 443bhp and 430Nm of torque.
