Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono launched in India at ₹16.5 lakh

Ducati has introduced the highly anticipated Hypermotard 698 Mono to the Indian market at ₹16,50,000, ex-showroom, India. The bookings are open across all Ducati dealerships and deliveries will commence by the end of July, 2024. Available in the Ducati red colour, the motorcycle will be brought to India as a completely built unit. The RVE variant is set to arrive by the end of the year.

At the heart of the Hypermotard 698 Mono lies the 659cc short-stroke single-cylinder engine, hailed as the most powerful single-cylinder road engine ever produced. It boasts 76bhp at 9750rpm and 63Nm at 8000rpm, with the rev-limiter set at 10,250rpm. If the optional Termignoni exhaust is added then the power and torque figures go up by 7bhp and 4Nm. The Superquadro Mono is paired to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch while a bi-directional rapid gear changer is available as an optional feature. 

Sporting the Ducati design language, the Hypermotard 698 Mono exudes a compact and aggressive Supermotard racing style. The motorcycle features a sleek profile highlighted by a high front mudguard, dual side-mounted exhausts, and distinctive five-spoke alloy wheels with a "Y" design. Adding to its allure are modern elements such as an LED headlight with a double "C" light profile and a high, flat seat for enhanced rider comfort. The motorcycle is very light, as it weighs just 151kg (wet weight without fuel), perfect for having some fun. The seat height stands at 904mm and the fuel tank capacity is 12 litres.

It also gets three power modes and four ride modes (sport, road, urban and wet). Key features include a 3.8-inch LCD instrument console, ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and Ducati Power Launch, ensuring optimal performance and safety in various riding conditions.
