Trek Bicycle launches in Pune with Trek Founder’s ride

American brand Trek Bicycle Corporation organised the Trek Founder’s ride on Sunday to celebrate its launch in Pune. Over 140 cycling enthusiasts registered for the 21km ride. Trek claims that this is the highest number of participants they’ve seen so far for the Trek Founder’s ride. The participants could bring their bicycles as well as choose from a range Trek bicycles ‘D Byk Store’ had to offer for the ride.

The ride started from D Byk Store located in Vimannagar, Pune and circled around the store to complete the distance. The marque has collaborated with the store to expand its reach in Pune. Cyclists could choose from a wide variety of bicycles from the store, however, they could ride their own bicycles too for the Founder’s ride. Trek had organised this ride to contribute towards building the cycling community as well. The riders were seen exchanging thoughts about the Trek bicycles, the differences and the gear from Bontrager.

Present at the event and the ride, Navneet Banka, Country Manager, Trek Bicycle India said, “Pune is a key market for us and our cycles shall be retailed here by our partner Akshay Mehta of ‘D Byk Store’. Our aim is to offer an all-inclusive brand experience while promoting the culture of cycling in the city.”

Akshay Mehta, Dealer Principal D Byk Store, Pune who also rode with the enthusiasts said, “We are delighted to be a part of the family. Over the years, cycling as a sport and as a recreational activity has seen tremendous growth in Pune. People now put conscious effort towards being healthy and consider cycling as a sport suitable both for recreation and to remain fit. Activities like ‘these will bring together cycling enthusiasts, encourage community building and cement our commitment to provide an all-inclusive brand experience.”

The brand will retail road, mountain, and hybrid bicycles at D Byk Store where the range starts at Rs. 26,500 and goes up to Rs. 20 lakh. Apart from the standard bicycles, one can customize a bicycle as well. They have also partnered with Bajaj FinServ to offer finance program Zero Down Payment and No Cost EMI options to customers who want to buy Trek bicycles from authorized retail stores.
