Keeping their vehicles neat and clean is a very important task for motorheads. The pandemic has changed the way we do everything and that includes washing our vehicles. More people are investing in solutions which are helping them to clean their vehicles from home.

We've been testing the Bosch Universal Aquatak 130 high-pressure washer and I was very glad after the Ed saddled me with the task of unboxing and testing it. After all, I am a neat freak and had a very dirty bike in the evo India parking lot!

The Bosch Aquatak 130 is a high-pressure washing device. It is a one-stop solution for all of your DIY outdoor cleaning tasks. To get it going, there is just a simple assembly required. All you have to do is connect the main unit to a water outlet with any pipe and it's water gun which has a 3-piece push-fit style attachment. The Aquatak 130 takes in power from a 16A three-pin plug.

To tackle the dirt, the Aquatak 130 has a powerful 1700W motor which delivers water at a maximum pressure of 130 bar. That was more than enough power and some to remove all the thick muck present on the underside of my bike. Its water gun has a 3-in-1 nozzle which features fan, rotary and pencil jet settings for your different kinds of cleaning needs. The fan setting can be used on parts like the tank, or your seat where softer pressure is required to avoid scratches and tears. The Aquatak 130 also comes with a high-pressure detergent nozzle which enables you to apply detergent even faster, as it squirts it with the same pressure as the water! This makes sure the bike washing detergent gets applied on every part of the bike, even in areas which are out of reach. Moreover, there are additional accessories like a wash brush, patio cleaner, different styles of nozzles and longer pipes available at additional costs.

At 7.8 kilograms the Bosch Aquatak 130 is a bit on the heavy side, but despite that it's still lighter than its rivals — the V-Guard hyperwash 18110 and the Makita hw111 it is lighter by 17kg and 0.4kg respectively. For transportation purposes the Bosch Universal Aquatak 130 has a cleverly integrated handle which makes it very convenient to lift it and wheels which make it easy to move around. Its handle also slots down and makes it compact for easy storage. The Bosch Aquatak 130 gets a plastic body, so there is no need to worry about electric shocks. Bosch claims that the Aquatak 130 has a quiet motor which makes cleaning comfortable, but that is a bold claim as its pump is pretty loud.

At ₹20,200, the Bosch Aquatak 130 is expensive, but you can get it at great discounts for as low as ₹13,500 on e-commerce websites like Amazon and flipkart.
