Hyundai has unveiled the 2023 Grand i10 NIOS and launched it at ₹5.68 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Era trim, going all the way upto ₹8.47 lakh for the top-soec Asta trim. Bookings are now open at a Hyundai dealer near you for ₹11,000.

The new Grand i10 NIOS has received a fresh face, a full-width LED light bar at the rear and many segment-first features on the inside. It continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre nat-asp petrol engine with optional CNG power. Hyundai has dropped the go-faster turbo-petrol variant of the Grand i10 NIOS, and it says that the turbo option is now reserved for bigger cars like the i20 and the Venue C-SUV.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS:

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS styling and interiors:

The 2023 Grand i10 NIOS gets a larger blacked-out grille upfront with integrated LED DRLs and projector headlights. It rides on 15-inch diamond cut alloys and features chromed out door handles as well as a shark fin antenna. Moving to the rear, the biggest differentiating factor from the previous i10 NIOS is the full-width LED light bar which connects the LED tail lights. The Grand i10 NIOS is the second Hyundai car to boast this feature after the Venue N Line. With the i10 NIOS, Hyundai is now offering a new Spark Green colour along with the previous Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue and Fiery Red options as well.

On the inside, nothing much has changed in terms of the overall layout of the dashboard and the interior. Taking centre stage between the honeycomb dash graphics and the familiar three-spoke steering wheel is an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. What's new is the grey upholstery and a MID (Multi Information Display) between the two analogue instrument binnacles behind the steering wheel. Not to forget a wireless charging pad and blue footwell ambient lighting.

The i10 NIOS boasts many segment-first features including air-con vents at the rear, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and four standard airbags on all variants with the six airbags available optionally. Boot space measures at a healthy 260-litres and more features including hill-start assist and also ISOFIX mounts at the rear for a child seat.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS powertrain:

The Grand i10 NIOS continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre nat-asp petrol engine. This powerplant makes 82bhp and 113.8Nm of peak torque. It sends power to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT. Fuel efficiency is rated at 21.7kmpl for the manual and 21.1kmpl for the AMT.

You can also opt for CNG power with the Grand i10 NIOS. In CNG mode the power drops to 68bhp and 95.2Nm. But the result is better fuel efficiency which is claimed to be 27.3kmpl. The 60-litre CNG tank is mounted in the boot. One thing that should be noted though is that the CNG variant only comes available with the manual 'box.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS variants and prices:

The facelifted Grand i10 Nios is offered in four trims: Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta. The base variant of the Grand i10 NIOS has received a price hike of ₹15,000. It now starts at ₹5.68 lakh, with the top-spec Asta variant demanding ₹8.47 lakh, which is only ₹1000 more than before and we reckon that's a fair amount of price hike for the host of new features that you now get.

The Grand i10 NIOS rivals the Tata Tiago, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Ignis and even the Swift.
