Struggling to find what to do every Sunday during this quarantine period? If you are still waiting for the lights to go off and the races to start, worry not, Star Sports has got the rights to some classic Formula 1 races from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. You can see some of the action from the time when Schumacher and Alonso were fighting for the World Championship as well as when Prost and Senna duelled against each other in the rain.

The Star Sports Select Two channel will be broadcasting the highlights of four races every week on Friday and Saturday between 7 and 8 PM IST, and two on Sunday between 7 and 9 PM IST. The races that have been selected for this broadcast were chosen by fans via social media after Star sports conducted a poll.

The lineup for this weekend includes the Spanish GP from 1986 that sparked the rivalry between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. The race for tomorrow (Sunday April 12) will be the 1989 Hungary GP that Nigel Mansell won for Ferrari, after which it will be a repeat broadcast of the 1984 Monaco GP.

It is safe to say that we will be glued to our sofas tuned in to these races over this weekend.

Here is the coming lineup for the rest of the races that are scheduled to be shown on Star sports select two.

1984 Monaco Grand Prix

Where Alain Prost was challenged by the young Senna, and it started the legendary rivalry between the two drivers.

1992 Monaco Grand Prix

This one has to be a classic as the footage of Senna driving around Monaco has gone viral over the past few years with him driving the McLaren around the narrow streets with just one hand on the wheel!

1993 European Grand Prix

This race is fondly remembered in history where Senna went on to lap every single driver on the grid except for Damon Hill who was in second place, but it also highlighted Senna's brilliance in wet weather.

1996 Spanish Grand Prix

This race will go down in history as it marked the beginning of the Schumacher era in Ferrari, when a young Schumacher registered his first win for the Scuderia Ferrari team.

1997 European Grand Prix

This was a race to forget for Schumacher as Jack Villeneuve drove away with the World Championship, after Schumacher had to retire from the race.

1998 Belgian Grand Prix

This one was quite a controversial one as Michael Schumacher ran into the McLaren pits and nearly pulled out a few punches towards David Coulthard who had earlier caused a crash that lead to Schumacher retiring from the race.

1999 Canadian Grand Prix

Mika Hakkinen wound up winning the race, after the wall of champions took out Michael Schumacher and Jack Villeneuve who ended up crashing at the iconic corner on the track.

2000 Belgian Grand Prix

This race has to have one of the best overtaking moves in Formula One. You can actually search for this move on YouTube and you will see Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher going full throttle fighting for the top position.

2003 Malaysian Grand Prix

In this race you will see Kimi Raikkonen take his first-ever Grand Prix win as well as you can also see a young budding Fernando Alonso who had taken Pole during qualifying.

2003 Hungarian Grand Prix

Another classic for Fernando Alonso where he became the youngest ever race winner in Formula 1 at that time, breaking Bruce McLaren's record, marking the beginning of Renault dominance in F1 for the next couple of years.

These are just a few of the highlights from the races that Star Sports select will be broadcasting over the next few weekends, so tune in to all the action.
