Mercedes-Benz India has made stunning progress in terms selling cars in the country. The company secures top claims in the Indian market in both 2017-18 fiscal year and in first quarter of 2018 by selling maximum number of cars by any luxury carmaker in the country. It has clocked its highest ever quarterly sale of 4556 units in the first quarter of 2018 with a remarkable growth of above 25% compared to the previous year. With this Mercedes-Benz also registered the highest ever fiscal at 16,236 units, a growth of 22.5% over the previous fiscal year. This is the first time any luxury brand has crossed 16,000 unit annual sales in the country and this is a big milestone for Mercedes Benz India.
The company has also seen a rise in the sales of the long wheelbase E-Class. Mercedes-Benz has been involved in strengthening their brand presence in the country recently by incorporation of various activities. The carmaker holds the distinction of having the maximum number of dealerships in the country as well.
After launch of a multitude of showrooms, workshops and its ‘Go to Customer’ strategy in the country, the Mercedes-Benz’ initiative aims to increase its footprint and make the brand name famous in tier II and tier III cities. Titled ‘Brand Tour’, Mercedes-Benz has kick started this unique tour across the country to focus on emerging cities where the brand’s name is witnessing a steady rise in popularity.
