Alongside the new updated C-Class launch, Mercedes-Benz India has also launched the updated GLC at a price of Rs 75.9 lakhs. The GLC 220d is priced at Rs 76.90 lakhs, thus making it Rs 1.45 lakhs more expensive than the outgoing version. However, with the increase in prices, Mercedes-Benz has added a much-required feature to its highest-selling car. Ever since its debut in India, GLC remains India’s highest-selling luxury SUV, with more than 14,000 units sold.
Mercedes-Benz has not made any updates to the GLC in terms of exterior design, interiors, or even the powertrain. However, they have added ventilated and heated seats, which surely amplifies the ownership experience. It also now has additional rear-side airbags, bringing the total number of airbags to 9.
Mercedes-Benz GLC has two powertrain options: a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 9-speed AT that puts out 254bhp of peak power and 400Nm of torque, and the diesel mill is also a 2-litre, producing 194bhp of power and 440Nm of torque.
Mercedes-Benz GLC goes up against Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.
