Its been a while since the prototypes of the Ultraviolette Automotive have been spotted testing and now finally, the Bengaluru-based startup has announced the launch of its first electric motorcycle - F77 which will be unveiled on November 13.

Though Ultraviolette has kept mum about the specifications of the motorcycle, the company’s prototype used an RC 200 chassis and components. Whether the production model too, uses similar components is yet to be seen. A few months ago, a production-ready prototype was also spotted which flaunted all-LED illumination, a TFT dash and disc at both ends. Surprisingly, despite looking like a naked motorcycle, the prototype flaunted clip-on handlebars and a raised rear end, somewhat similar to the RC 200.

Ultraviolette, however, has revealed that their bike will feature ride telematics, remote diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, regenerative braking, multiple ride modes, ride analytics, and bike tracking.

On the occasion of the big announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, Founder and CEO, Ultraviolette Automotive Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are thrilled to announce the unveiling of our high-performance electric motorcycle - F77. At Ultraviolette Automotive, all our products and solutions are designed and developed with a single-minded focus towards delivering high levels of performance and unparalleled user experience across the usage and ownership experience cycles, and the F77 is a testimony to that. The F77 is a creation of the very best in form, function and futuristic technology and we are glad that our vision to create an identity for electric vehicles has come to fruition.”

Until now, Revolt Motors was the only brand making an electric motorcycle. Tork Motors and Emflux are likely to follow, which will have us spoilt for choice.
